p.6 #1 · Just bought a 5d MK IV from deals-all-year on ebay
I received my package for the purchase of an international version of the 5D IV, with 64GB SD card, and EF 17-40 lens from 6Ave through Amazon. Late this evening I received the package with all except the lens and have reported this to Amazon Customer Service. They sent an email to 6Ave describing the issue and cc’d me and also sent another email providing me with instructions. Hopefully all will be resolved quickly, but I will let you know how the follow up goes toward obtaining the lens.
Thanks
Steve

Thanks for the update and good luck! I’d bet they’re going to try and say it wasn’t in the listing itself, and that the title said body only (although we know it also said lens and had a picture of it).
Lucky for you, Amazon is good about sorting these issues out! I eagerly await your update so that I could have enough guts to make the jump

I've heard nothing but bad about 6Ave, from missing parts, to used goods, to simply not delivering. Bad, bad, bad. At least deals-all-year seems to actually deliver the described product at the listed price eventually. Either way, its always good to go through someone like eBay, PayPal, or Amazon so you'll have some leverage.

Sjjindra, I saw that listing on Amazon and the 17-40 lens is clearly there. If true, if you get it, that is the deal of the century, $2200 for everything. Hopefully it works out in your favor but it sounds too good to be true. Maybe the person uploading the listing smoked a bit too much reefer that day.

Has anybody who bought a 5D4 body from them gotten it for ~$1900? Grey market or not, that seems too low to be real.
I bought a new grey 1DX ll from them for 4K three months ago. Also bought a 70-200 F2.8 for $1449 and 5DSR for $2100 last year. Their prices are real. They ship on time and all packages are well packed. They are reputable, unlike others like 6th Ave and big Value Inc which are very questionable.

I'm not going to try to convince anyone about where to place their order, and certainly do not dispute that anyone has had problems, but will simply note that I had no issues buying two import bodies - one lower value, one higher - from 6ave on eBay in 2018 and 2017.

Hi moondigger...
I bought a 5D4 body for $1,899 from Deals-All-Year on the Saturday after Black Friday last year (11/24/18). I went through the same hassle mentioned here of them trying to upgrade me to a US model, etc., etc. I persisted in talking with them that I wanted what was advertised on their site and nothing else. They issued a UPS shipping label, but didn't actually ship it for several days and a few of my phone calls to them insisting I still wanted the initial deal. I finally spoke with Gary who is, I think, either the owner or manager and suggested to him that I'd seen very high ratings of his business and I thought he was a reputable businessman, and would like to see those ratings confirmed by having my camera shipped as advertised and promised by earlier conversations and emails. Gary was never overly pushy, strident, or confrontational. He simply explained what I could get for several hundred dollars more. It shipped the same day as that last conversation and I received it on 12/10/2018 (Note: some of the rather lengthy "in-transit" time between when I bought it and when it arrived was due to the Thanksgiving holidays).
I have a feeling, although I have no way to prove it, that the $1,899 price on their website may have been in error. However, they finally honored it. When I received the camera, it was packed appropriately and the only thing I saw that was out of the ordinary was that it included an LC-E6C charger (with a power cord) rather than the more common LC-E6 charger (direct plug-in unit). All of the accessories were included and did not appear to have been removed from their plastic wrappings. The manual was in English. I ran a shutter count and it showed zero. I charged the battery, loaded up the dual slot cards and started shooting.
So far, I've used it nearly every day since receiving it (nearly 5,000 shots) and it has performed flawlessly. The bottom line for me at least, is that if you persist they will follow through as advertised. It was a little stressful dealing with them, but the money saved, in my case, was well worth the hassle.

This thread inspired me to place my own order through Deals All Year for the 5d Mark IV. I received the call from Steve; I’ve read posts about him being aggressive and pushy but no, he wasn’t, at least with me he wasn’t. I simply said no, I will take the international version. He said That’s Fine, your order will ship out tomorrow. And it was indeed shipped as promised. No further calls, no further emails or PayPal invoices. Will post again when it arrives.

I spoke with Abby at 6Ave today. She said the ad was meant to include the 5D IV and basic kit, but not the EF 17-40 lens.. They offered free return shipping and a full refund or a refund of $100 for my troubles if I keep the kit. I have an email with link for the shipping label and one with the refund offer, so spoke with my wife and going to sleep on it a bit and then decide.
Also, they did remove the wording of the EF 17-40 lens in their Amazon ad.
Funny. Their ratings on Amazon are like 98% with good postings, but on internet are very poor with bad postings.

Steve,
It’s cool of them to offer the $100 refund for your troubles. All in all, you would still be getting a good deal for a great camera. Personally I would just keep it, and avoid the hassle of returning it and then re-ordering another one.

Too bad, Steve. i figured something didn't smell right.
Personally, I do not think it is cool of them to offer $100.00. I, myself, would return it or ask them for $200 off. The deal referenced by O/P from deals all year is active on ebay for $1,979.00. That is over $200 less than what you paid.

Well. I decided to keep the 5D IV camera kit and with the $100 refund from 6Ave, so $2099 total. Bird in hand sort of thing. Plus, other forces came into play as well. We just returned from a three day resort weekend that left my wife pacified as to my major camera purchase. That pacification has a rather short statute of limitations.
Thanks
Steve

Good call! Enjoy the camera - I am now debating between the R and 5dIV.
