two beauties Jason with the first my pick for showing the red tail. I'd love to see the first with the rain, possibly an improvement on this already great image
These are two superb images! I agree with Morris about the first one. I also wonder whether the rain would actually make a better image. I am surprised you were able to move around to the other side to get the second shot without the bird flying. Excellent work.
Both look great. Kind of funny comments about you cloning out the rain when only you know what the original image looked like. BC residents know that our rain is a lot more photogenic than Ontario rain.

Awesome portrait of the hawk, Jason! The isolating power of the 600mm lens, even with a TC is superb. Well captured!
Joshua
Thank you Joshua. I've shot with most long lenses and have always come back to the 600mm. Other more compact lenses may be close in sharpness but the backgrounds just aren't the same.

Morris
Thanks Morris. In my eyes, the light rain streaks hurt the image.

Dave
Thanks Dave. Moving to the other side of the bird wouldn't have worked and wasn't necessary as the bird moved for me.

I agree with some of the others about the rain. It adds a nice dynamic in photos like these.
Thank you Syr

Tony
Hi Tony thanks for the comment. Ya I said above the rain didn't help the image in my eyes.

Great shots Jason....after a year and a half in the PNW I find that rain streaks only sometimes work in an image....I prefer snow to rain streaks.

Geoff
Thanks Geoff. Yes, I also prefer snow over rain in an image.
