10miles of washboard dirt roads dodging cattle, 1/2 mile hike. she fell and bruised her arm, I got poked by a cactus and had blood running down my leg.. we were a mess...
I actually prefer the first. I like the simple background. Lets my eye stay on the model. To me she feels more a part of the setting. Love the flow of her dress and I am a big fan of red. Sometimes more is better! (maybe just a smidge too much saturations) There are more blues in this one, and the colors in the image are nicely complementary. I think a little less clarity on your model might be good here. The rocks jut out nicely into the frame and, overall, the landscape image by itself is well composed. It's sort of like you saw a great view and placed her in it just so--an environmental portrait. I also like the sail-like billowing of the sheet. The others feel more pasted on--for me. Maybe the fact that one can see the mountains beyond through the white sheet helps create the realistic feel of the first.
