Is it the rendering that makes the MS image reds pop more than the LLL reds or is it processing differences? Thanks.
Rendering, I could see the difference in my view finder (M11 EV1) the sonnetar pops more than 1966.... I did a wow when I looked through the viewfinder and saw clearly it was different and a bit wild
the lens is far less wild in flat daylight, but use early or late in the day and it does things.
This is what closeup portrait looks like at 0.8m f1.5. It’s very pleasant rendering but not blistering sharp. Sharpness improves significantly at f2, so I would mostly use it at f2.
Took the kids to San Francisco for 1 day trip yesterday. Started at Japantown had Takoyaki at Yamachan. Then we headed to botanic garden. Finished up with dinner at North Beach. I only brought this lens.

Really nice samples, by the way. Did you focus using the rangefinder? At close distances it does look like it may be back focusing just a bit.

Yeah, it’s well calibrated on my M11 from MFD to infinity. I got a good copy.
A visit to the Snow Monkey hot spring in Japan, mostly used big Nikon Zs and glass but gave the new version MS Optics 73 1,5 I just acquired a try with my M11 EV1. Operating a focus shift in the cold with gloves is not optimum, but acquired this among my images.
