Some recent photos with our Goldens, which I hope will make you smile!
Took a little walk with Mrs. Whip and the six (!) furry grandchildren the other evening. Fall colors have been quite beautiful this year, and I was hoping we could get some nice shots at the park. Almost impossible to get them to sit still when there were so many field mice in the big pasture there for them to chase down, but we managed a single split second of them all together:
A few days ago, Mrs. Whip sent me a link to the brilliant work of German photographer Christian Vieler, who specializes in amazing (and amusing) photos of dogs catching snacks. I thought it might be fun to try to get some shots like this with our dogs, in a little home studio I set up in my man cave.
It took a little while to dial in camera and lighting settings, and of course timing the click of the shutter with the action was very tricky! Remarkably, our dogs seemed to not mind all the practice, shot after shot. Almost like they were saying, "Are you sure we don't need just a few more? You know - just in case that last one wasn't quite in focus?"
