Lindsey's just 14 and come into her own just this year. She's developed into the lead dancer for one of my main dance companies that I shoot for, and so I plan to do a lot of shoots with her going forward. She's coming into the studio tonight for an audition shoot, and we'll hopefully get some artistic shoots on top of that.
Here's two of my favorite shots of her from a recent studio session. Comments welcome.
Very cool photos! Love the lighting and the poses. My only nit would be her expression, seems kind of awkward. I know that when they are contorting their bodies in mid air, the expression can sometimes be the tough thing to convey! Can't wait to see more! Lighting? single light camera right?

Thanks! I've got two lights on the background from each side, and one light and softbox exactly as you thought. The expression was the exact expression we were going for. That leap is now displayed in the dancer's house at 16x20 inches.
It's funny (not haha) how people see things differently. The expression is the part of the photos, mainly the second, that I didn't really care for. She looks bored or even slightly annoyed to me.
But as long as you and her are happy it doesn't matter what I think. Good work as usual.

You're exactly right. That's why when I meet with clients, I show them the same pics with different expressions. I know what I like, but what really matters is what they like.
