My initial impression is that there is no issue with induced field curvature when using it on the Sony, so I believe it's one M-mount lens that performs great on both Sony and Leica systems.

Do you think that the VM and E mount versions indeed share an identical optical formula, based on your testing?

It's on my short list. I have to decide if the 25mm frame will be a distraction. Also, the CV and Zeiss' look to be straight rather than offset like Leica's. The latter helps to minimize, at least slightly, the degree of parallax error.

True. The 25mm frame can be a little distracting and there is the issue with perfect 21mm framing since the finder is not offset but it's not expensive and very well built. Perhaps you can find a used Leica.

Can't decide which I like better. What do you think?

Second one. But I would have liked to have seen some movement in the water

For those Who have owned CV 21 1.4 and CV 21 3.5, there is a big difference between the both for landscape (colour rendering / shapness all along the frame) ? Not easy to choose between the both (i already own the 24 GM) ...

It turns out not all Leica viewfinders are offset (and the close focus parallax indicator is actually more distracting than the 21/25). I exchanged mine for the CV.

I sometimes think about selling mine & my (astro) Samyang 24/1.4 for just the 20G........

Any thoughts on the Color-Skopar 21 as a wider, low carry weight option to complement the 24-105? I am attracted to the 21 as a low cost option for something wider than 24 but not sure 21mm is wide enough of a difference in landscape usage?

I absolutely love 21mm to shoot landscapes while I've never liked 24mm for the same application. So the 3mm gaps is larger in practice than on paper...

Yep me too,
21mm is just perfect for landscapes. I always felt 24mm wasn't enough.

Random question: I feel like the Voigtlander captures skies and clouds - so I suppose the highlights - with more depth or colour than other lenses I have. Is this a real thing, or am I going bonkers?

I sold mine today too, as I switched from my Tamron 17-28, CV 12 and CV21 to the Sigma 14-24 and CV15....I too fear I may end up in that category, as I really like this little lens, but I can't keep everything.

I have bought the 21 3.5 twice. This damn 14-24 makes decisions really hard. Just mentioning I may sell generated 4 PMs to buy it. The problem really nothing is actually going to beat it. Except the size weight issue
