Congratulations to Jeffrey for winning Feature Thread of the Week with 7 votes - View Previous Winners
On a break from chasing down Yellow Aspen around the east side of the Sierra Nevada last week, I spent a little time at Hot Creek, not far from Mammoth Mountain. After three days of clear skies, some atmospheric action moved in for my final morning of this journey. Made the drive home a lot more relaxed.
Very nice Jeffrey, wonderful light / composition, and I love how those beautiful clouds are touching the mountain top. I must admit, I am not too keen on the greenish yellow rock outcrop though.

Nice light, etc., but the color looks off. The trees don't look right.
Craig, you are correct. This is that last image I processed before I got cataract surgery. Now I see colors differently, and see that this image needs color correction. I'm getting my other eye done next week, so after that I'll resume photography work, and will reprocess this one.
Here's the re-process as seen thru good eyes, not my old ones (even though I still have one old one!). I've been seeing things thru a yellow/green filter for a while and never knew it. This should be a better experience for all of you with good vision. Thanks for your patience and understanding. Your comments are certainly welcome.
Nice take on Hot Creek. On my laptop, the colors in the original post look much better to my eye. The repost looks a little cooked red, especially in the mountains and sky.
