Friscoron, love the feel of this portrait and how she looks totally at ease while on point if that is the correct dance term. Your use of the light to highlight her edges really makes her pop in the frame even though there are lighter areas in the background. The only thing I might do if it were my portrait would be to clean up the dark objects in the grass on the camera left side and also one right under her. Great work.

Thanks! Because of my angle and the DOF, you don't see it that well but those are leaves. Unless they're really distracting, I usually don't remove those. I might pull the one below her tho, thanks for mentioning all that.
I have a less positive impression mainly because I find the busy background unappealing. I also find the very bright top edge distracting. I do like the pose and the naturalness of your model. Wish there was less of everything else. I would probably bring down the brights in the background. I know that is contrary to your vision but it is my reaction.

I totally understand. I think in a perfect world I'd not have the background highlights. I could even tone it down in post, but the truth is I shot an entire company and they got multiple shots from this location. For me to spend the time to change the background would just not be prudent with the amount of time I allocate to my editor for working these images. Plus, I do want it to be as natural as possible.
I'm really impressed with how effective such a simple pose can be when the other elements are in place -- lighting, body mechanics and posture, focus. Bravo!
