Fabulous set. 4 for me. Low angle is sublime on 4. Great effort.

Oh my--what a treat. When I read your intro I was prepared to see nice, but "the usual" bear shots. You captured something unique and special with their expressions and settings.
Thanks for posting.

I'd be happy with any one of these Henrik. 2 is very cute, and 4 looks like the cub is saying "How about some for me".

These are all fantastic. My only complaint is you only posted 6 shots. Really looking forward to seeing the snow images.

Thanks boys and girls. It was a fun 4 days. Happy to report that we saw quite a few sows with cubs.

Thanks everyone, I really do appreciate the kind words. What I founds really amazing was the dexterity that these bears had with their claws. It was quite something else to watch some of them squeeze out the eggs of the female salmon. Heck, we even observed one using a claw as a toothpick.
Grrrrrr........eat images Henrik Don't you fill a little uneasy being on the ground shooting these guys that there may be one lurking behind you or is there a spotter to keep a safety margin?

Nice!

Hey bud. These were shot from a kayak or small boat and we never approached the bears that close. HOWEVER, at times, the bears did come close to us. But other than a casual and occasional look, we were ignored. Zero signs of aggression and/or stress. Now there was that one time in Alaska though.......
Liked the shots and being able to safely photograph from a boat has some definite advantages. The last shot of the adult with the juvenile is a real keep and worth spending some time working it in post.
