p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Down in the Tombstone Valley

Here is a sunset shot looking down from a ridge into the valley that borders Tombstone Mountain, which is the tall peak on the left side of the valley.

This is laptop produced so I'm a little concerned that this might show a little too dark - and if it looks that way to you please let me know and I will add a lighter version.

C&C always appreciated!

Dave

It's pretty awesome Dave. I'm just getting pulled into the image. Your laptop is serving you well. Did you exposure blend? You have some amazing dynamic range in this image. It does show a little darkish, but some of us are into those dark moody images. FWIW, I can see sufficient details in the darker areas. If you were going to print it, it might need to be lightened some. Hope that helps.

Looks good on my monitor, and I just calibrated it. The image appears dark in areas I would expect if I was looking directly into the sun. Nice shot.

Thanks Jim. This was a 3-shot 2 stop bracket manually blended.

Thanks Dale. My laptop is also calibrated but is still brighter than my home system, which is more calibrated for print.

This deserves some wall space! Great job and a very moody feel.

Great image. I like the fact that there are dark areas in the picture. I know the dynamic range and blending opportunities abound these days, but I like to see restraint in lighting / blending areas that should be dark vs the sun!

Sweet job Dave! I think the rendering is very powerful and dramatic! Congrats!

Music to my ears because this was a manual blend (just too much dynamic range) but I really try hard to keep everything natural in shadows, colors and highlights.
