Very nice images, Dennis. The fog is really nice. How do you like the focus of your A7 III? Is it with the native FE lens?

Thanks, Tam. I am using the A7III + Sigma 150-600C. Focuses fast in good light and takes decent shots but the A7III is a big improvement over the Canon 7D. I can get Eye-AF with my older Tamron 28-75/f2.8 using Zone setting, but not Wide Area setting.

Dennis, those tule elk are beautiful. You can be very pleased by your efforts. The first shot of a bull bugling in the fog, is a classic. We're getting more and more elk here around Eugene. The Roosevelt elk are moving in from the West and the Rocky Mountain subspecies, is coming from the East.

Dennis - Love the bull in the fog. It really adds to the magic of the rut in my opinion.

Great set of images. Have to make a trip - are these on the way to the lighthouse? Any Elk around Nicasio?

No elk around Nicasio. Most of the elk are located at Tomales Point inside the elk refuge. You may occasionally see elk when you take the cutoff to Drake's beach, but that is hit and miss. best to go to Tomales Pt.
