Beautiful. Processing looks fantastic. I guess some folks may suggest different framing, but I really like the wide view on this.
Thank You Jim. I do have a tighter and a wider version of it, but I also liked this panoramic crop better.

Very nice, great light... I would just show it bigger
After I posted it did occur to me as well. I have now edited to show a larger version. Thanks for you comments.

Super picture with wonderful colors. Where is it in Oregon, if you don't mind.

I too really like the warm light throughout... the composition is strong but sort of wish you stepped a few more paces to the left to get the rest of the shadow.

regardless... it is a lovely image.

Thanks you for your comments, Bruce. In fact I was thinking the opposite to move more right to get the great evening light on the rusted boat. When I did that the shadow side was getting lost a bit and also the vast expanse of the ocean.

Anand: Would you be open to me posting an alternate composition of the shipwreck? Not saying mine is better. Other people were suggesting a move to the right and I just happen to have one like that. You're right about losing the ocean when you compose from the water line though.

Absolutely. I look forward to it.

If I ever get back to Astoria, I'd book more time at Fort Stevens. There are other bits and pieces of the wreckage that I would love to explore in B&W, on a sombre day.

Nice Capture...I was hoping for the wreck to be in water..but the tide was too low..perhaps not the time of year as well.
