While processing the shots from the recent horse show that I was at, I was somewhat drawn to this shot, you could say, not much going on, girl riding her horse!. BUT, look at all that is really going on, the girl signaling a turn to the horse with the reins and the horse reacting with all four feet at once setting up for the turn, everything going in different directions at one time to execute a simple turn. They are such a beautiful animal, so powerful, so beautiful to watch

Thanks for listening
The girl or the horse? Sorry, I'm bad. You obviously have an eye for, as we use to say, "horseflesh." That fleeting four-foot down moment is often missed basically because when in motion a horse never has all four down.
I do like the way the rider is in tune with her mount and focused. I clearly remember how POed I was as a kid, growing up ranching in the CO high country, at how much I hated that lots of girls could ride better than me. Of course, for me, it was just a horse, and we were running around yelling at calves and yearlings when trying to move them down from summer grazing. Those girls; they had some sort of connection.
On the Rez, thanks for taking the time to comment, I wish I could say, I planned on getting that shot, but maybe, like you were saying, maybe it was that "four foot down" moment, that caught my eye
Thanks again, you sort of made my day, THANKS
