These are nice shots, but they lack sharpness to me, with the exception of the Western Tanager and the Barred Owl at bottom. Here's what I think may have happened with some. The AF frame was was not on the head or eyes. My expectation is always sharp head feathers and eyes (at least). Take, for example, the Eared Grebe shot. It's pretty clear that AF was on the back but not on the head. You captured the head and details, and did a decent job, but the head and details just aren't as sharp to me as the back and details (like the water droplets). Good luck!
This is another of your excellent sets. IMO the pygmy owl shots are the best of the set and they look very sharp to me. Owls are extremely hard to find but you consistently find them and get excellent shots. The last barred owl is amazing. I don't know how you manage to get close enough for a shot like that.
