This was my first attempt to chase the monsoon season on my own. Yup - it was up to me to figure out radar, wind, etc. Although I still find reading weather a mystery, I was fortunate that what I thought might happen - actually did. Soon learned that looking at weather apps is only half the battle - the other is patience and mobility. Each of these images were the result of waiting (and moving!) as the weather started to pass by. All in all - a fun beginning and a great way to spend a weekend in the heat.
Todd, amazing as always. Great shots and locations. The first is my favorite also. The fanning lines are a great lead into the image. The second location is pretty cool also with the badlands and lightning strike. Thanks as always for sharing.
Great set! I have had every intention of getting out and chasing some storms this year too but while I haven't been able too I get to see it through some great talents here on the board.
I like the entire set. The first is really well done, but I am drawn to the last one. I really like the "mirrored" lines of the lightening and the crack in the ground. There does seem to be a bit of color shift in the clouds but easily fixed I think. I wonder too what this would look like with a mid to high contrast B&W treatment.
