Here are several hummingbird images from CR. To get best colors and feather details I limit the selection to perching birds only. Please feel free to leave your comment and suggestion. I appreciate your stopping by and I hope you enjoy the images as I did taking them.

Joshua, you are really making me envious of your talent with the hummers . The colors ,textures and comps are beautiful , #1,3,6 for me but really like 6. Hope you have more.

Great details and iridescence captured Joshua....the 100-400GM is holding its own agains the 400/2.8. But I guess the 400/2.8 has a whack of TCs attached so not surprising.

Geoff, I really appreciate your kind words. Yup, the GM 100-400 holds its own alright. Yet, that Canon lens hasn't stopped to amaze me, even with TCs. Let's see what a native 400mm will bring to the table .
