While not my best work, this illustrates how versatile the 500PF can be...
No other super telephoto allows us to capture fleeting moments that disappear in a split second. The mere act of setting up a tripod or trying to photograph an exposed eagle w/ a larger lens would have caused the bird to fly off faster than it ultimately did.
Red-rumped Grass Parrot drinking from a dog water bowl which is provided in some parks for dogs to drink from. Called a Red-rumped parrot due to a red patch on it's back, which can just be seen.
Finally got to try out my 500 PF! I got it last Monday and got a little time Wednesday with it and again today. Pretty dang good, I still need to take time to AF fine tune or at least see if it needs some tuning. I think it will need a slight adjustment.
No Idea why I was at 1/1000 and f8 causing 1600 ISO. Just how it goes sometimes.

Excellent catch at Conowingo! Haven't been there in a couple years and to Bombay Hook in several.
