This tiny little guy takes that motto very seriously.
Actually he wasn't smelling them, he was eating them when I found him.
This is a 10 shot focus stack as he's about the size of a silver dollar. He was nice enough to just set there watching me as I got all set-up on him and fired off several shots.
Thanks for looking and good luck to all this week!
Thanks for the kind words guy's and gal's! Glad you enjoyed it!
Ayas - I was laying on my fat belly next to a stream trying to get some shots of a mating pair of Wood Ducks. The Woodies didn't cooperate with me, however, as I was laying there some movement caught my attention off to my left about 15 feet away. When I looked over I just saw moss and the tiny flowers until he moved his head again.
That's when I realized I had a chance for a nice entry for this weeks assignment and started converting over my camera and lens to get set up on him pronto!
Haha why'd you mention the "fat belly" part but that's awesome those unplanned in-the-moment shots feel the best and it comes through in the image. Lucky for you the little guy was definitely a he since he wasn't shy about being photographed while eating
I've never done a focus stack but you did a great job! Nice capture and backstory Dave

Cause I gots me a fat belly and at my age it's major chore just to lay down on the ground and get back up while holding a DSLR & 100-400 + 1.4 ext.
Hell, it's a chore even without the camera rig.
Ha! I take it you like the shot Dale! Thanks!

Haha! I hear you on that one. But at this size I don't think a snapper could do much damage.
Thanks Dan!
