another lovely set from the never ending saga. I am really so disappointed that Don did not ask me to go with you guys.
I feel very fortunate that I was able to go..and the saga has now come to an end as has winter in the Norhteast

Fantastic photos! Must be so humbling to see a new generation of these majestic predators in the wild!
I had never seen a wild bear and to have this my first sighting was indeed humbling and emotional as well.

These are just dreamlike. This may sound like a silly comment because these subjects are captured so perfectly, but I think the dark twigs add so much to these photos as opposed to plain white.
Thank you...it is always a dilemma whether to include foliage or not but I agree that in this case it adds a little something rather than the stark white that would be there otherwise.

Eric, thank goodness these are the last few, you’ve humbled us enough with this series! Thanks for posting so man wonderful shots.

Haha...I have learned over many years that photographic skill takes one only so far....the subject and light and compositional elements that are inherent to the situation ultimately make the images.

You obviously have an amazing collection of this bear family - a collection that is superior to the work of the top wildlife photographers in the country. Bottom line - you need to publish a book! PM me if you may need help in this area. Voted!
I am so flattered Bobby....indeed, I will take you up on your offer when I am ready to do a book...I like to write too and so I will need to add prose.

Thank you Bruce....every now an then things align in such a way to make for special sightings....I imagine some others have similar shots and I know for a fact that Don, who was standing next to me most certainly does.

Another stunning series of wildlife that most of us will never see in the wild. Superb work Eric.
Thanks Louie...I am always jealous of what you guys in the PNW see on a regular basis..eagles are like crows, owls seem to be omnipresent and so in order to see the natural world a wee bit of traveling is often necessary.

Eric,
I have enjoyed very much this and the other set of polar bears. You were able to capture white against white exquisitely. Image 6 has slight greenish tinge, but still wonderful. What an experience for you to see this first hand.
