Lake Louise by moonlight, from late July 2017. A little bit of wildfire smoke lingered in the air from the horrible wildfire season we had last year. I'm hoping for not as much damage done this year!

Really like this shot. Love the foreground rocks and light. But I find the vignetting in the corners distracting.
Glad you like it Brian! The vignetting was natural, maybe I could have lightened it a bit in post though.

Now that certainly is a unique shot of that iconic location. I don't think I've ever seen portrayed that way before, not even live. 😁
Well done, Markus!
Thanks so much! It was a bit lucky I got it, just right place at the right time!

Very clean shot Markus! Seems like a peaceful spot to shoot at night! Well done.
Thanks Matt! It is a lot quieter at this time of night compared to any other time of the day, that's for sure! It was definitely enjoyable being there without all the crowds.
Markus this is the first image I have seen on a regular visit to these pages that has made me want to leave a comment.
I think this is a fantastic, unique image of a spectacular place. So nice to see something totally new!
Very cool. Did you light paint the fg rocks and left side of the hill? Feel like light is coming from 2 directions here. Good job balancing the scene here.

Thanks! I didn't do any light painting, the lighting from behind me could have come from the hotel, or possibly maybe lights along the pathway.
