Beautiful model, love the pose. The catch lights are positioned perfectly. The hot spots under the eye and on the nose are a bit distracting. If this is your first time with studio lighting, terrific.
Pretty model. I would prefer the catch lights a bit lower, the right eye one needs a bit more intensity and is lost in her eyelashes. The hot spots are bothersome for me too.
Thanks for the feedback! Her make up was super shiny which was making it difficult for me to control. Would a bigger modifier fix that? I was using a silver beauty dish without the sock/diffuser. I tried adding the diffuser later on in the shoot but it didn't make that big of a difference.
She is very beautiful and the pose great. I agree about the few "hot spots". While I can't offer advice on lighting to reduce those, a very simple solution....? maybe a bit of facial powder to lessen the skin reflecting the light?
Well done!

A Silver BD will increase contrast, maybe just over the mark to blow out the highlights as in this case. The sock and internal diffusion will soften the contrast which may help you, we are talking a handful of RGB values though.
No matter how soft the main light is with super shiny or oily skin, sometimes you need a bit of neutral powder to knock it down. Best to use a towel to cover the clothing before application though.

I agree re the BD. If your budget permits, I would substitute it with a medium size soft box and see if it reduces the hot spots.
