Hello Nick,
Thanks for your comments! I am very frustrated to find that D850 is noisy. Wonder why??

Something isn't done right in that case. The D850 noise is improved over D810, but the D750 still remains very clean. Every comparison I've seen, the D850 was cleaner than the D810.

I made a thread about this very thing using DPReview's comparison tool, the D850 was cleaner at every ISO than the D810.

I think the images are great! Outstanding set! Really makes me want to be there to witness it in person!
On my calibrated Mac 27 inch, the only adjustments I'd like to see is the black contrast not quite as black, the saturation slightly reduced and then of course the Luminance noise reduced.
But it is not a game changer. These are still great!
What kind of Luminance Noise reduction did you use in Raw if you don't mind me asking?

I've travelled to so many places and I still haven't seen the aurora. And then I see superb photos like these...they make me even more determined to rectify this:-) Thanks for sharing, excellent images!

Hello Mark,
Thanks for stopping by and leave ng your comment. When I took this image I also took the noise reduction shot. But somehow I didn't get the cleaner image that I was hoping for. In Photoshop I was careful in saturation as well as noise reduction. Perhaps on of those days, I will meet with you and get your secret weapon learned!!! :-)

Great captures, but noisy. The clouds in the second shot on the far left really show the banding too. Either way, I'm jealous of the captures, I want to see this so badly. I like the composition of the last shot the best.
