I actually really like the way the background is rendered in both, well done.
I find the photos technically correct, and taken with the right equipment, resulting in a pleasantly blurred background, but they appear a bit uninspired.
She has twice the exact same expression and is photographed from the exact same angle. All that really changes between the two images is the clothing and the distance to the subject. Despite the clothing change, even the pose seems to be pretty much identical.
As others have already mentioned, there are several things odd with the images. The framing of the first shot is just plain ugly. It also appears not really leveled. I think the problem with the hands in the second is perfectly tolerable. I dont really like that both images have the sky overexposed, so the top of the background just turned completely white. All in all I personally wouldnt have published the first image.
