These are awesome photos Don. Eric has filled me in on some of the details of the trip and for all you went through last year and this year you guys sure deserved getting this amazing day with these very young cubs.

Thanks Geoff. Sometimes old fashioned persistence really pays off.
Makes one want to return....real soon.

These are so special! Nothing anticlimactic here...just overwhelmingly wonderful! I wonder where I was, probably chimping, when you got a few of these beauties. It was such an amazing day and I was so lucky to be able to share it with you. Your level of optimism throughout when it appeared we’d get skunked really helped lighten the mood. And you were a star from your World Wildlife of the Year award. I felt like I was traveling with a celebrity. We even found a newspaper with your photo on the front page. And oddly today, all the way in SoCal I met a couple who mentioned seeing your photo in London.
Well done my friend!

Thanks again. It's always fun traveling with a familiar face with a similar sense of humour (and adventure). I think you have all of these shots. It was almost uncanny how each of our positions worked out to be the best; based on our results. Maybe luck, probably experience and some intuition about animal behaviour. Can't wait to do it again.
Don
I would say if you spent a month in Churchill, freezing, and this all you got, it was a month well spent. You get shots like these once in a lifetime, if you're lucky (and persistent).

Thanks Marg. If you like bears and babies it's the place to go.

Thanks Dave. If it was a sure thing then it wouldn't be so special. I see why some people go back year after year. Some have gone 15 years in a row.
Don
Absolutely enchanting images Don.
The poses are quite special and evoke a truly special feeling, this might have been one of those moments I would have put the camera down and just enjoyed what was in front of me, thanks for doing such a quality job in sharing these moments..........................Amazing

Thanks Karl. I did try to enjoy the scene as much as possible, but the photographer had my eye stuck in the viewfinder. It was quite a trip for a few hours, but in the end I came away with some of my most appealing images ever.

Great shots Don, I should do this trip sometime.
Thanks Mike. Being of like interests you would definitely enjoy it. You should try to book as it can take a number of seasons to get a spot.
