In case anyone is interested, the glass balcony is on the west side of the building. There are actually 4 glass balconies, paired together yet separate. That's what's called The Ledge. I am standing facing southwest with one balcony behind me, and the two in front of me seen in the shot; one with the girl sitting down and the one next to it with people taking pictures.
It was because of my motivation to get the shot and the dozens of people waiting for their turn that I was able to walk onto the balcony. I couldn't even go to the outermost edge. I'm surprised I even pulled it off. I kept the shutter speeds higher than usual to avoid any "camera shake". A few times I instinctively looked down and almost passed out
