p.2 #1 · Snakes, Frogs, Birds and Hummers From Guess Where !
The sharpness and detail on these are awesome, especially on the hummingbirds. My favorite is the #9 Talamanca Hummingbird, followed by #11 Fiery-Throated Hummingbird. The colors are gorgeous!

WOW Birdie what a spectacular set of images. I love them all and especially the hummers. How did you get so close to those snakes with just a 60mm lens?? I'm in awe!
Really appreciate it Dave. They had the snake handler making sure we did not get too close and that the snake stayed where it was supposed to.

Very nicely done Birdie. I enjoyed them all, but the toucan looks like it could use a bit more contrast - maybe a run through levels or curves ~ Ron
Thanks Ron, contrast added and reposted ! .

Amazing photos, Birdie. I slowly enjoy each of them. Well done. I will be scared to shoot the snake at 60mm focal length.

Thanks Tam. Well, I was a bit anxious, but after seeing how the folks handled the snakes and made sure we were not too close, I was okay, well as okay as I could be with it . Getting too close was not a problem for me, I stayed farther back than most . Plus, they were not aggressive snakes.
