p.1 #1 · Snakes, Frogs, Birds and Hummers From Guess Where !
Costa Rica of course . I sure hope you have not tired of images from Costa Rica . Please indulge me a few more posts. It was such a diverse and wonderful place . Yes, a lot of shots are posed, but still wild subjects . Much like shooting birds at a feeder in your garden, but the species is so different . Never have I seen a toucan at my feeder
Hard to find the words to describe how I felt seeing these marvelous creatures in their environment , wild and free even if they surrendered for the moment for a photograph.
Your nits, crits, comments and suggestions are most welcomed and help me grow.
Thank you for looking, hope you comment and find something to enjoy.

Great work on all of these Birdie. I like how you have added your unique post-processing touch to make these much more artistic than the usually bird photos.

Geoff, much appreciated. I leave the initial subject alone, but I do play with the backgrounds on some of them

WOW Birdie what a spectacular set of images. I love them all and especially the hummers. How did you get so close to those snakes with just a 60mm lens?? I'm in awe!

Wonderful images, Birdie! I especially like your toucan image. Looks like you were pretty close to those first two pit vipers - yikes!

Thanks Keith. There were handlers with the metal pole making sure they stayed in place. Fortunately they are not some of the aggressive ones.

Thanks Morris. Yep, it was dark where we photographed them. I wanted to keep the feel and mood that I experienced.
