We had a great week enjoying Texas hospitality and non-stop photography discussions in the Rio Grande Valley. It was real nice to exit winter for a week and enjoy all the beautiful birds that frequent this area and share the week with other nature lovers.
Wow! I know the locals are rather unimpressed by "just another Green Jay", but it's a striking bird and your catch is masterful - best I've ever seen. And such a perfectly apt capture of a fleeting Roadrunner. And your environmental portrait of the woodpecker reminds me of some of Audubon's paintings. Thanks for sharing.
The Rio Grande Valley is a special place with the string of state parks aptly named the World Birding Center.
Outstanding presentation Matt Quality details and lovely natural coloring. Only 1 nit would be to dig out a bit more detail on the eye on the first shot.
Your work on the BG's is just wonderful! You have my vote on this series
