Couple shots are certainly NY. I shoot the city all the time. Anyway bokeh balls I’m not seeing onion rings and bokeh looks fairly nice. I’m really thinking of this lens as my 24-105 F4 which is a great copy I do run into low light problems sometimes so either I’m going back to the GM 24-70 or going to get this and sell my 24-105. My AF kit needs a little reshuffling. Here I don’t need the best optically but more functionally. I need AF to work great. I do think if you don’t need 2.8 than the 24-105 maybe the better option. It really has fine quality through the whole range and if there is a weakness it’s at the 105 area which just needs to be stopped down some. Besides that this lens starts at 28 which for some folks actually too long to start the zoom and also too short. Obviously depends on needs, for my PR stuff I don’t that big range this would work fine.
Certainly going to be interesting to test this out down the road. June seems like forever and hope I can get one before a show in July in NY

Still no price, and pre-orders start Friday. Seems it has to be set by now... why not release the price? Hopefully it’s a pleasant surprise and not an unpleasant one...

This looks like a formidable competitor to Sony's 24-105mm zoom. If this comes out at $899, Sony would need to eventually scoot their zoom down in price some.
The real question is, what matters more, f/2.8 or the 75-105mm end of the zoom.

This is true for my need it’s okay 28-75 but if your using a zoom as you only lens for walk around or travel than the 24-105 has more usability to you. It’s going to be a tough call for some folks. I’m using it for PR so it’s a easy choice for me but your giving up something to gain some .
