Each winter my wife and I go to Algonquin Park in Ontario, Canada. We go for the excellent cross country skiing, snow shoeing and the chance to catch some winter wildlife action. Winter time can be hit and miss for many species but there are some consistent spots for American martens, and sometimes a new spot can be found. These little guys are active, fast and completely at home in the trees. We felt lucky to get some unobstructed shots this trip.
Oh, Wow ! We were there for several days last week during and after the snow. Lots of birds and several pine squirrels, but no marten and no fox. Now I am really jealous.
