I've been fairly stagnant in my bird photography, but just recently picked up a 1DXII. So looking forward to getting out and putting it through some testing. I hear the focusing system is pretty good. My Bushhawk's trigger is kaput though and it seems they have gone out of business. So I ordered a Sharpshooter camera mount.
Great set of images! Hard to pick a favorite but the wing tip in the water is a great shot. Also how you got the swallows in flight is amazing. I look forward to seeing more.

Nice If work and your special touch on the artsy and or drama side of presentation. That is one heck of a macro eye shot, wowza!
You should be in good shape with that 1DXII for anything you want to do
