p.1 #1 · Using Panasonic lenses on Olympus cameras?
I realize Olympus uses Image Stabiization in camera and Panasonic has it in there lenses. But what happens If I get a 25 1.7 Panasonic and use it with my Olympus EPL-2 ? Does the Panny lens have IS, do I need to turn it off If I use it with my EPL-2 ?

I don't believe the Panasonic 25 1.7 lens has any stabilization, so you don't need to do anything. But in the case of mixing brands with IS in the lenses and bodies, yes you need to choose one or the other. I have a Panasonic 45-200 with OIS and switch it off on the lens when using with Olympus bodies and use IBIS. You could turn off IBIS instead, but the lens is usually easier because there is a physical switch.

Your camera won't explode or anything, but they would "fight" against each other and would likely do more harm than good as far as stabilizing goes.
Even within the same brand I'm not sure if dual IS always works. For example I'm not sure if my older 45-200 would be able to work with the IBIS of the new G9, it could be lens and body specific if you want to use them together.

I looked into this before investing in a Panasonic H-RS100400E 100 - 400 mm Leica DG Vario-Elmar Power Lens to use with my EM-1. The wisdom seems to be that the lens IS will overide the camera IS (or the camera backs off). Anyway, in use, that seems to be the case, there being no problems of apparent conflict.

Tripods and IS don't mix.
With the EM1 and 100-300, I had opposite experience and conflict problems were serious and obvious. Maybe my settings weren't right.
