This barn owl is pretty famous as far as I could tell by the 50 or so photographers lined up to await is daily sunset hunt.
It was a fun half hour of action till he finally nailed a vole and went to hide deep in his roost tree.
What a beautiful owl Geoff. I've only seen one in the wild once along a highway, I was pretty young and not taking pictures at the time but I noticed it perched in a tree with some snow falling and I went an exit past it turned around so I could drive by it again and again and again.................I am most envious of your opportunity here, thanks for bringing back a good memory of my first sighting
