p.1 #1 · A (too) quick trip through Canadian Rockies......
Congratulations to tmiller9 for winning Feature Thread of the Week with 7 votes - View Previous Winners
Made a shortened trip through the Canadian Rockies with fellow FM'er DBehrens recently. World started going nuts - and with no cell coverage, had to cut a 7 day trip down to 3 1/2 days. Sometimes, life happens. That's the unfortunate news. The good news was, although the weather didn't really cooperate - we did find slivers of light - and when compared to the majesty of the Rockies - was all we really needed. These are the result of chasing what light we could find - and trying to make the most of it. As for the shortened trip - guess I'll just have to try again next year!
Thanks for taking a look - cc are always appreciated and welcome.

I hear you about life getting into the way of plans, but you sure made the most of your time. Really love No. 2 from your set, but all are outstanding.

These are real sweet, Todd. All nice but especially the second for both comp. and light. Has been a dud winter in CA this year. I may need to get myself up to the Canadian Rockies at some point!

Todd - these are really great! (Of course I would expect nothing else!). Being that I was nearby on all of these shots I have to say you picked a dandy spot for pic #1. The delicate hoar frost crystals with dark background really make this pic! Its a pity you had to leave early but, as life happens, you were on location the best 3 1/2 days of the week!

I love that hoar-frost. I was at that very same spot (just off the road to Jasper, right?) back in 2012 and saw the same beautiful hoar-frost and mist, but the weather was uniformly dull and overcast. Not so for you! Congrats!
