#2 is my fav, although I love the look of contentment on your son's face!. Down here in the Sunny South I don't get many opportunities to feel the snowflakes on my cheeks.
#1 would have been my favorite, but her right hand is problematic to me for two reasons. First, it is closer to the camera than her face, which makes it look out of proportion. Second, her coat is blending in the background so that at first read, the hand seems to float in the air with no association to her. I think this is aggravated by the branches hanging down from the wrist area. I think the hand posing in #2 is more natural looking.
I do like the foreground elements in #1 is she has a lovely expression (I can't see her teeth chattering)!
I feel pretty much the same way as dmac. #2 is very nice. Very sweet. I really like the extra whiteness of the image. I think I might warm and lighten her hands a touch. To better match the skin tones of her face. I do like the pose and the gaze.

Thank you for the detailed feedback! That white-on-white is definitely a challenge and fun to try and work it. She's a trooper for sure.
