I am wanting to use a loupe with my D850 to assist with live view focusing with my manual focus lenses.
I have searched on Amazon and eBay and Google but there doesn't appear to be anything targeted at the D850.
I have seen some reference to the Zacuto Z-Finder 2.5X working, and I have seen an image of a loupe attached to the D850 by an elastic band, but I was hoping some of you would be able to comment about which brand of loupe is working for you?
When I magnify the LiveView image, I do not know why the image bounces around so much. Yes, of course, it is going to show any movement. But I do not think it would be that much vibration with a loupe. Maybe I am doing something incorrectly. Help!
I use the Zacuto 2.5x on DSLRs. It makes a huge difference in getting to perfect focus quickly and confidently. I shoot with tripods and prefer to hold the loupe up to the screen myself rather than using the attachments.

Maybe others can clue-in both of us.
Loupe would show the vibration more if it's a magnifying variety. Either your tripod isn't doing its job or perhaps you're seeing the IS element shift if you happen to be using an IS lens and IS is enabled.
I use a Kinotehnik, which made a dedicated frame for the older DSLRs that fit into the tabs for the plastic screen protectors. On the D850, you have to use a glue-on frame, which doesn't stick so well to the oleophobic screen protector I have on it, so it's gaffer taped onto the screen!
The great thing about the Kinotehnik is that it doesn't interfere with things like RRS L-plates, is high quality, light, and affordable. It also gives you a fairly complete view of the screen. Early Zacutos would cut off parts of the screen, but I've been told later versions show the whole screen now.

Just took it outside. No vibration. So, it is the hardwood floor. Would never have guessed it.

Thanks.
The Zacuto is optically good, and the full attachment system is secure, if bulky. However, if you use the adhesive-frame attachment, the adhesive portion is not tall enough for Nikon LCDs, and you then choose between cutting off some of the image (at the top) or the image information during review (at the bottom).
At least, that was the case as of 2016-12-07 - might have changed, I'd contact Zacuto to confirm if you're considering their product with the adhesive attachment.
I can understand some sort of viewfinder magnifier on occasion, but LV has this built in.
The magnifiers also shade the LCD, providing a much better viewing experience in sunlight, they basically turn the LCD into a large EVF for tripod shooting.
I use a Hoodman if I need to block bright light but it is bulky and a bit inconvenient.
A small 1.5-in diameter souvenir magnifier with about a 4-in focal length is a lot handier, thinner, cheap and doesn't require the eye to be positioned perpendicular to the screen. The one I use is attached to a folded case of vinyl marked Florida
