my only criticism is all the green in the background contrasts with the title and what I assume was the theme.

I agree and good catch. We have had little to no snow here in Northern California.

Compelling portrait. Her eyes draw you in and the rest of the composition holds you. I like the color palette and the DOF.

Lots of great photos this week but this one gets my vote.
