I just got my Voigtlander 15/4.5 III back from S.K. Grimes having the hood removed. The lens looks great! Can't wait to get some Lee Seven5 filters attached.

You sent that off in Jan and got it back in March?
by the way, how are you carrying your seven5 filters? i kept them in theri original microfiber pouch, but this is not a good solution. I feel a bag should be a good solution. the smallest i found was the "Silvestri Filter Wallet for 85x85". do you know a better one?

Been thinking about this filter situation. I have several 67mm lenses , 2 58mm lenses the CV 15 and CV 40, than I have 2 52mm lenses. So nothing bigger than 67mm and none of them wide angles either except the Basis 25mm.
So Breakthrough Photography now makes a lets say 67mm 6 ND with a CPL built in. Which for the most part I use when doing landscapes is both of them. Here is the cool part if you don't need the CPL just rotate the filter so it has no effect. The big reason Im thinking of this is like the CV 15 which I will cut the petals off put a 58-67( no vignetting at all at 67mm) step up ring add a blank 67mm ring and than I have a hood but in the field if I take off my 67mm ring hood I can use 1 filter that covers the ND and CPL which really eliminates the Lee Seven5 use. I don't use grads so i really don't need a filter holder if this ND/CPL combo works for me. Ill also buy a separate CPL in 67mm as well.
But the more I think about this the more sense it makes. Plus overall Ill save some money and only have to carry filter and 2 step up rings a 52-67 and a 58-67
CV 15 58-67 when done with the Choppy end of it
Batis 25 is 67
Loxia 25/85 use a 52-67
CV 40 use 58-67 step up
Tammy 28-75 is a 67mm
Batis 135 is a 67mm
Batis and Sony 85 1.8 are 67mm
Yea so far looks like my third CV 15 looks really nice. I’ll test it against Big Bronco but I’m going to sell my Laowa 15. Hate to do it as it’s a killer copy of it but having 2 15mm does not make sense right now. I’m working more on my AF kit to get that just right. I may get the Batis 85 and sell my Sony 85 1.8 lenses. Does not make a lot of sense but having 2 Batis lenses thinking about the 40 coming so maybe just have a all Batis AF kit. They focus fast all good IQ and act the same on my cameras so no fiddling around. I will still have my main Guy kit CV 15,40 and Loxia 25,85 that all should fit in my PD5.
Unlike hobbyists I do this for a living. Last thing I want when it’s ME time is lugging gear so I want to be small here. I had two members interested in my Laowa if they don’t pick it up. I’ll list it on the board.
Choppy II could be slightly better but hard to say until I hit B.B. yea you should have kept that one. I’ve been really lucky lately with getting good copies of lenses the Photo Gods are apologizing for all the pain I went through in the past . 5 FE 35 1.4 is insane just to mention one lens.

Guy, let me know when you are ready to sell Choppy III!. I am still kicking myself for selling Choppy II a year ago.
If I remember correctly, the Choppy II (E-mount) started with me. I sold it to Guy and he sold it to you!!
The goal is to keep good copies in the hands of FMers.

That's correct, Fred. I contacted the FMer who bought Choppy II from me to ask him to let me know if he decided to sell Choppy II. When the Sony 12-24 came out I quickly sold Choppy II and the CV 12 I bought from you. I missed the Voigts so I bought back the same copy of the CV 12. I bought a new CV 15 from Camera Quest, it's a good copy but it's hard to tell if it's as good as Choppy II without direct comparison.
