p.2 #1 · Family In The Hood

I love both of these. How do you like the 200/2? Or do I need to even ask? .

Thanks. In truth, at f/3.2, I could've shot this with the 70-200/2.8 and wouldn't have noticed a difference.

That first photo is just awesome. Very creative and well done. I bet the family loves it!

These are very cool. The forced perspective on the first one is very interesting.

I just wanted to add my indignation at seeing someone use the 200 f/2 at anything other than f/2

yeah I mentioned above that the same result would've been achieved with the 70-200/2.8. That said, the lens hood on the 2.0 gives better protection from sun glare.

I remember growing up and a family portrait was all of us getting crammed into our dress clothes once a year and going to Olan Mills (sp?). All of us kids hated it and just wanted to get it over with. If we would have done family portraits like your first — the next year wouldn’t have come fast enough. Excellent job!!

The second one is very nice also, but is overshadowed by the first.

Great composition and the boots across the bottom, nice.
Love the bokeh in the second, lots of smiles.... great fit.

I own Nikon, but the 5d and 200?.......... you gotta love it!

Thanks for sharing

Love your use of the wide angle perspective for that first shot!

I have to give you props on #1 -- which is hard as a lifelong Broncos fan. Both these are fantastic- nice work!
