@Mark Metternich: I think, this place is popular, but I never see this in winter with great lighting and snow, so I've give my best to find that moment and it did.

I like the depth of the scene in which the near-far relations between those cottages play a major part. Excellent light is the icing for the cake.

Great pics Fabian Spillner. But I'd love to know what camera and lens? I mean it wasn't an iPhone or m43 was it?? Even your flickr page you hide the EXIF data. Is this a new trend I missed a memo about

..Back in the old days we'd always include the camera and lens and relevant exposure data...

Oh sorry. It was taken with my Canon 5DsR with 16-35mm. Will provide more data later.
