Why wait for Adobe to get support, Capture One Pro 11 has it already, you can use it for 30 days as a trial, but after you use it you probably wouldn’t go back to ACR anyway, better colours and profiles, better detail.
One of the best things that happened for me was that Lightroom's lack of a raw converter. I am trying Capture One Pro (for sony for now) and loving it. I know LR provides a lot more capability but for quality and I like a lot of other aspects, I think I am staying with it. I would like to get the Pro but will save the money for now. Actually I do not know about the quality until LR comes out with their converter so I can do comparison. I can tell you the conversion comes over with so much less to process than my D800e in LR. I really do not have any negatives about LR but I am loving Capture One right now.

I'm sorry for off topic: does A9's Gariz half leather half case fit A7R3? Has anyone tried it on your A7Rm3? thanks
I tried a different one also made for the A9 and it fits. Also I was told by a vendor that the LIM's case for A9 fits the A7R3 so there is hope for the Gariz but hopefully someone knows for sure.
My main issue with the cheapo one I have is that it covers the NFC area and I am guessing the metal frame material of this case is blocking the connection because it wont work. I had to make a cut to expose the area.
So now I am re-thinking about buying a more expensive one if I am going to have the same issue

Is this only in 1080 or can we also get the slower frames to 4k?
I'm still hoping, but not expecting, for an update that gives an internal intervalometer if possible, plus the other app functions that were in the play memory apps

Thank you for the helpful information.
You are welcome. Hopefully someone else can try one. I like the LIM's case more but I will take whichever of the two does not block NFC.
UPDATE from LIM's support:
Dear Luis,
Hello, this is Janna who is in charge of Lim's Design abroad sales.
Well received your message and noted your issue.
We've test our A9 Case with Android phone. Sony Xpeira and there was no problem.
It was well connected. We haven't tested with other phone but, do not think there would be such problem.
This is a first Sony for me so a bit complicated for me to understand things.
is there a 5D4 type bulb timer here? Like you don’t need a cable release then.

You are welcome and btw, Lim's told me they are doing an A7R3 specific version coming out on January for people that one a more perfect fit so I am just going to use the cheapo I got until that one comes out.

Nice! I might get one then. I never used by Gariz on the old A7r because of the hassle of taking it off for Arca plates, but a bespoke Lim's might be nice. Pity they don't have a detachable L attachment

I will have to test that as well. Also want to test how tracking works with both. So many tests. I need to sit down and write the down
Tested again just now. Eye AF is definitely better on the metabones in green mode, but it has a greater tendency to hunt when focusing on dark colored/low contrast objects in low light. MC-11 performs rather well in that regard. I'm thinking that the improved AF sensitivity is coming from the CDAF system, and this is why the MC-11 is working better in low light. Really surprised how well the MC-11 works in its native AF mode...it was always sort of slow and buggy when I used it on the a7rII, but outside of the limited PDAF area, it feels very close to a native lens. I suspect that when metabones updates their firmware that the advance mode will work well on the a7rIII too. It's unusable right now.
So as it stands for me...eye-AF use metabones. low light, use MC-11.

If you set the camera to bulb and use an infrared remote control, one press will open the shutter and a second press will close it. Make sure remote control is set to “on” in the setup menu.

Bulb mode appears 1 click past 30 seconds in M mode
Does anyone have this kind if remote for bulb shooting? Sony has a wireless remote but they never mention whether that works for bulb. Their cable release ofcourse works but what about wireless?

I’m not entirely sure but I think the camera uses CDAF to focus in low light. My metabones in advanced mode is very accurate in low light (actually better than green mode, particularly when using peripheral focus points), it is however useless in good light, when PDAF takes over. I will disable PDAF and try to use advanced mode in good light to check if the above assumption is correct. If it is, I think it explains a lot about the camera/adaptor behaviour.
