Thanks for your kind words! I seem to recall the painting you are referring to but can't quite remember the details. Now I need to go look for it.
Dave,
I rooted around for a bit but my labels are fuzzy. It's hard to wade thru the ocean when you don't know if you're looking for a fish or a rock I'm now a bit obsessed as the image had quite an impact on me. I'm going to do some more chopping about. If you find it, let us know.

Hey Dave this is a very nice landscape. It has so many beautiful details to look at, and it has such wonderful depth. You did a great job with it.
Thanks Dale! Glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks so much for posting this. We live less than an hour from Letchworth and as many times as I have visited it's always been for an event (annual Art Fair), a picnic, or just to spend a day wandering. And every time I go I say to myself I really need to come back by myself and explore this place photographically.
You've posted an absolutely gorgeous image and have really inspired me to get serious about spending more time there.

I see so many images posted here from the West - it's nice to see the beauty of the East portrayed here. Love this photo.
Thank you so much for your kind words and I'm glad you enjoyed seeing an image from one of us right coasters.

Thank you! I know what you are saying as I have been to places I didn't have a chance to photographically explore but want to return someday to capture some of the magic.
Ironically, the morning I captured this image, I was suppose to go with my wife and family up to Buffalo (near you) to take a ride on The Maid of the Mist. I chose not go and instead return back to this location for a second attempt because the previous day was a bust with boring blue sky.
They all had a great time but I think I came away with a fonder memory, which is now hanging hugely on our wall.
Dave, beautiful shot of a great place in NY. I'm hoping to one day get close to your level of picture. I visited the park for the first time this year and it's truly a beautiful place. If you ever visit the Finger Lakes area in central NY, I would recommend Watkins Glenn State Park. There's several water falls that make for some great early morning shots.

Nicely done, Dave! And the people at Nevada Art Printers are absolutely great!
Thank you! And yes, they did an amazing job on this print. I'm hooked now and counting my pennies to save up for my next large print.

Thank you Rick! I almost took a ride over there during our visit but decided to hit this location hard on this trip. Next time though, I'll probably hit Watkins.

Very interesting shot! Beautiful. Congratulations.
My only idea would be to clone out the rock wall on the left.
Thanks Mark! I'm not a purist but cloning out the wall is a little further than I am willing to alter an image. A stump or small log type object maybe, but not an entire wall.
I did however shoot this as a large 180 pano and had already decided to remove a majority of that wall by simply not including those frames in this finished image.
