(11) her expression *is* priceless, but the image looks a bit flat and too strong on the backlight. Toning down the rimlight and punching the contrast would bring this image to the next level IMO.
(15) is a great image, but the mountain line is too soft IMO. I am a DOF junky, but the mountains are so prominent, that they need to be in focus.
I absolutely LOVE everything I have ever seen you post. I have seen a few of the before/after shots you've shown and your post processing skills are just fabulous also.
Your images are better than ANY of the "big name" guys who get all the hype.
Thank you for showing them to us.
Yes, Lisa, not only me, but this forum and the rest of the planet are waiting for a COFFEE TABLE BOOK I keep harping about!
You seem to now have enough material in both pix and life to support more than one elegant display book. I'm pretty old. But if I live much longer I'll be surprised if I don't see more than one sharp biographer ring your doorbell.
Big thanks for sharing so much of your work with this photo forum!
There is magic in all of them but 3, 6, 9 & 11 seem to have a bit bit more IMHO.
I grew up in a family of 10 children and I think of how much we treasure our handful of B&W photos. Your family photos are a treasure that your descendants will be in awe of for many generations.
Thanks for sharing them with us.
Greg
As a fellow DOF junky, I'd love to see what you're talking about. Why not post some of your images. That might really help Lisa and the rest of us take our work to another level. It's one thing to say it, but I'd love to see you show us what you're talking about.
I hope this isn't taken wrong, just love to see your work.

It May be important to know that my C&C receives lots of *likes* from forum members (specifically when I do so on Lisa's fine work, so I know that I am providing a benefit to some)
I hope this isn't taken wrong, just love to see your work.

Hi Ron.
Certainly not taken the wrong way
I am often asked to mentor up and coming photographers here locally, and when critiquing images, I try to be as specific as possible to make images better, as I have done in this thread, so it should be fairly strait forward to see what I am talking about for these images.
I will try to dig up some of my favorites. I predominately shoot weddings out here in Hawaii, so don't really get to shoot at my own pace any more.
I don't want to hijack Lisa's thread, so if I can find the time to post, will do so in a separate thread.
These are stellar pics and I am very curious how you accomplished the fireside pics. Your post processing is fantastic.....or is the light just that good at the time of snapping these pics?
