Awesome capture! Some of these are my dream shots
Thanks...some of these were my dream shots up to when I finally got them. I only started shooting these owls for the first time last month and have now had many days with them, some more productive than others. I have one more shot I've envisioned that I want to get but I need last light and backlight and right now we are rain, rain, rain.

Thanks Mansur

Wonderful images, Geoff! Images 1, 2, and 5 look especially nice to me. The 600mm works well with the 2x TC, at least in your hands. Very nicely done!

Thanks Keith. It actually really surprised me how much better it worked than the 1.4x just because the AF sensors had more coverage on the owl. I thought it would struggle as with the 1.4x on it was struggling to grab the owl but then with the 2x it was locking fast and sticking to the owl.

Great set...guess it's that time of the year, I've been hearing good reports for them, even a Snowy in my area and a few dispersed about.
Thanks Scott. Yes a few snowy owls are showing up but looks again to be more east coast. Although they is one in Boundary Bay and one down by you.

Nice ones Geoff. Tried that set-up when I had the MK I on demo. Thought it worked well with the 2x.
Thanks Mike. I've always been comfortable using the 2x on any 2.8 or 4.0 lens. With the 1DX2 the f/8 AF is so much better that it is even more usable.
