I've spent some time recently driving in Canada between Banff and Jasper National parks. I wanted to explore the Rockies more and shoot few new places I haven't photographed there before. So, I decided to stay in Canmore and drive from there. Canmore itself has a lot to offer, especially when driving 742 (most of it is just a dirt road) towards Spray Lakes. It is a really beautiful drive with very photogenic scenery all around. But, I did go to the frequently shot places as well. I had a nice weather and I wanted to reshoot some of my older shots taken with much worse camera I have now.
1. This reflection I took just outside Canmore. It's a Ha Ling (and others) peaks reflecting in a policeman's creek.
2. Three Sister's mountain peaks. I shot it from the same place I shot Ha Ling peak, just to its left.
3. The Ha Ling range again. I took this shot very early in the morning just outside my hotel's room.
4. The famous mount Rundle right next to Banff.
5. And one with the foliage change I shot some place along 1A.
All are wonderful Greg - great job on the compositions - and the processing (as usual). Although I'm sure you had something to do with it - so glad to hear you have upgraded your camera -
Yes. I’d like to thank Todd (tmiller9) for lending me his Nikon D810. I sold my camera too early and while waiting (still am) for Nikon D850 I used Todd’s camera to shoot the Canadian Rockies.
