So is there a reason we cannot know what gear were used by the op.? We're friends here on FM. Second time I've asked. Is there a secret I'm not aware of or protocol.
For example. I love to fish. Like a few weeks ago things were pretty good. A 26lb chinook. When I catch a nice one I've no problem explaining what gear I'm using. (abu 5500 baitcaster/custom rainshadow rod/15lb maxima leader/#2 hook by gamakatsu and a tuft of red wool). Everyone knows it's not the gear that makes a great artist Am I being too...demanding lol. Come on Gregg - your excellent pics weren't taken on a cell.
I have no problem letting you know what gear I have used. In fact, I mentioned it in my comment when I thanked Todd for lending me his Nikon D810. That's what I've used when it comes to a camera body - Nikon D810. Lenses? I used Tamron lenses for all my shots. I either used Tamron 24-70mm f/2.8 G2 or Tamron 70-200mm f/2.8 G2 lens. Software? I used Adobe Lightroom for raw, any additional small final touches (dodge or burn) done in Adobe Photoshop. That's it.
Hope this helps.
Love the third one. I really like the way the red stands out against the dark sky, and how dark the sky is processed in general. It's striking. The clouds below add some nice softness and mystery to the image overall. If I had one constructive criticism, it's that I wish you hadn't processed all of them with an orton glow.
