Beautiful macro, did you use any extra close-up lens?
(czy inne tam cudo)
No,only the lens wide open at closet focusing distance.
P.S:
Jeśli żyjesz w hagislandzie (Szkocji),to pozdrów ją ode mnie gorąco.Zwłaszcza wyspę Arran,Highlands,Caisteal Shruighlea (Stirling Castle) i Dùn Éideann (Edynburgh).
P.P.S:
Hagis jest dużo smaczniejszy od kaszanki.Zwłaszca podany z musem z kalafiora.Bardzo to lubię!
Here are a few from the National Transportation Museum in St. Louis.
The separation in the 3rd photo is something. It looks like she is sitting in front of a mural or something,

If you can get such a nice closeups with this lens without extra bits, then its even better
P.S.
Guys, look what came in today
That glaaaasssss....
Sun came up here in Glasgow, so taking this for a spin for a first time to our favourite park.
I'll post some photos here soon!
I was thinking of buying that Marumi Achromat macro 200 lens for it.
Can someone who has it, please post some sample of macro photo?
I mean I would like to see what this +5 lens can do on 40mm lens, how close you can get, compared to real 1:1 macro lens.
OK, here is my first photo with this lens. Cat photo, what else!
All photos straight from camera, no post (I don't really know what I could do with them)
My cat, Fargo

First walk to the park with this beautiful lens.

Did I mention that I love trees?
Sony A7II + Voigtlander 40mm 1.2 ■ f/8 1/60s ISO200
Sony A7II + Voigtlander 40mm 1.2 ■ f/1.2 1/400s ISO100
I owned this lens when it first came out—posted on here about 200 pages ago lol
Just borrowed a copy. What a lovely set of compromises to deliver great rendering in a small and ergonomically pleasant package. To my mind, still one of CV’s best.
Focusing distance of Raynox dcr250 is about 10cm and if you set the Nokton on closest focus distance the magnification is roughly 1:1. But from image quality perspective it is better to set it at least 0.5m best to 1m.
Try to find somewhere in this thread Fred's tests with (I think) Marumi achromat - nice findings - if I remember correctly it was said it's best to set Nokton on 1m focus distance as it is the best image quality. With this setting you loose a bit of magnification but it is still good enough. Especially if you have 61mpx to play with
Cheers, A.

Those look amazing!
How close were you to the subject?
I wonder if this +8 lens could make this 40mm 1.2 be almost as good as 1:1 macro lens?
Does this Raynox DCR-250 fix closest distance issues of this lens same way Marumi Achromat macro 200 does?
My partner and I attended a nice Carmel wedding last year (looking back at it we should have just said no), and I didn’t do a great job of photos. Should have stood up for the first one so I didn’t need to do such a heavy crop, and missed focus on the second one.
I couldn’t imagine how expensive that venue and decor must’ve been.

Trying to figure out if I could get +5 and have almost 1:1 macro lens combo this way.
A little late to the party, but I can contribute a bit.
I've owned the 40/1.2 and 50/1.2. I only have the numbers for the 50/1.2 but they're not hugely different.
Max. magnification with 10mm of extension: 1:2.9
Max. magnification with 16mm of extension: 1:2.1
Enormous field curvature, high amount of aberations off-center. Tiny working distance. Not recommended.
Max. magnification with Marumi +3: 1:3.2
Max. magnification with Marumi +5: 1:2.4
High CAs off-center, still strong field curvature but much higher resolution than with extension tubes.
No solution will get you close to 1:1 and even then I doubt you'd be happy with the results unless you frame your subjects straight in the center and shoot at least at f/2.8 or better yet f/4.
