This means more crazy comparisons by Steve Huff, mwouhahaha.
Yeah!... I always missed a 50/1.2 from Cosina! There was a gap between the 50/1.1 and the 50/1.5 always leaving me wanting. I'm sure Mr Huff already has checked with the cards and knows he will love it. [/double sarcasm off]

Shooting yourself wearing sun glasses in an elevator. Why?
Last November, same lense. Not with sunglasses but a cap too. And not in an elevator in Paris but in a museum in Venice.
The question stays the same... Why?

I had 40 minutes of free time while waiting a friend in airport, so I decided to use the time to code AOV/FOV visualizator. Now everybody who wants VISUALLY compare angle of view and field of view how their different focal lenght lenses match with each another can do it here: https://vahonen.info/fov/
PS. Please no jokes for stick man or her/his camera holding technique

This is awesome!
Much easier than googling for the exact lens combo I want to compare or even setting up a tripod to do a comparison myself.

Love and hate for the lens, every time I use it. I love the handling, the focal length, the sharpness, the colors, the speed... Hate the high contrast bokeh, totally random transition zone and funky corners even stopped down a lot.
Oh well... Still one of the most versatile and great lenses I've ever had.
I have to agree with you. The transition zone can be harsh sometimes. I find the bokeh neutral in contrast though.
What really bothers me sometimes is the double-lines in the rendering.
I guess all these flaws together with high micro-contrast and fast aperture is what makes the 40/1.2 unique.
