i've been playing with the m-mount version on a UT modded a7. the ability of this lens to provide isolation at longer focus distances is really impressive!
I agree. Very few lenses can do this. Mid and long focus distance is where it is sublime.

Yes, it is, and in my opinion this is the greatest feature of the CV40/1.2. And it's a nice image to that!
But sebboh... your copy of the lens seem to be seriously decentered. Maybe something about the angles and so on is playing with my eyes but the focus plane seem to be a lot closer to the camera on the left than it is on the right. Am I mistaken or is there a problem with the lens (I assume your other lenses work OK on the same camera).

Maybe that large tree on the left is much further away than the slimmer trees on the right? In any case, a nice render of the deer!
Just a thought for those wanting to buy this lens and can't find it in stock anywhere...There is always the option to rent it from LensRentals and purchase it if desired. That's how I got mine a while back.

this was shot on one of my helicoid adapters, that happens to be slightly decentered (not the lenses fault), but there is also some confusion caused by camera angle and the foreground on the left being closer than foreground on the right.

Derek, does it show any signs of color shift?
haven't shot a tissue with it, but i see no sign on a blue sky.
Got to play with mine today after Bastian had it for two weeks for a soon to be published comparison with the CV 1.7/35. Seems to be a lens with a steeper learning curve.

Never done this. Do they ship the box, ect... after purchase?
my 15 min backyard test indicates that manual focusing wide open on moving kids is much easier than the zm 50/1.5 and slightly harder than the cv 50/1.5:

PM me the details? Might be worth it.
Got mine from Downtown Camera in Toronto. Not affiliated, just helping out.
Not sure how warranty coverage works for those of you in an other country. You may want to find out before you buy.

Figures, B&H wont ship Voightlander to Canada either. I wish we had Lens Rentals and B&H in Canada. In and Out burger too. You guys get the best stuff!
